Wolverhampton Youth Zone

 

HL were appointed as the civil and structural engineer to deliver the design for this new purpose built youth club for the young people of Wolverhampton.

 

The new building is based on the model developed by Charity Onside Youth Zones, and includes a sport hall, boxing gym, MUGA pitch, dance studio, and gymnasium amongst other facilities.

 

The building maximises the potential from a difficult triangular plot of land within Wolverhampton city centre.

 

One of the key challenges associated with the site was the requirement to provide level access throughout the building and incorporating a 3m change in the existing levels across the site.
