Chis Lydon is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with over 14 years' experience designing a wide variety of structures including offices, laboratories, sculptures, stations and residential schemes. Chris specialises in optimising architectural and functional requirements of schemes while minimising cost. Chris is also expert in the design of new structures with complex geometries.

Nick is a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer with over 14 years' experience designing a wide range of structures including laboratories, swimming pools, hospitals,  airports, houses, libraries and museums. Nick has been responsible for the structural design of new buildings with project values of up to £190m but also has significant experience working on restoration and refurbishment schemes.

Mark is an experienced Civil Engineer who, prior to joining HL Structural Engineers in 2017, spent ten years working in design consultancies in the North West covering a wide range of sectors including private and social developments for all major housebuilders, healthcare, education and commercial.

Mike Woods is an experienced Structural Engineer who joined HL after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University. He is currently working towards his chartership with the IStructE. He was awarded a first class honors and was the recipient of two additional awards - Clancy Consulting award for best final year student and United Utilities award for best final year group project.

Sam Chan is a Graduate Structural Engineer with 4 years’ experience in the industry. Sam graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015 and joined HL Engineers in 2016. Sam is currently working towards the IStructE Chartership. Sam has experience of working on a wide range of building projects including, commercial; domestic and residential sectors.  

John is an experienced Civil Engineering Technician with over 40 years experience in the industry.  John specialises in the detailing of concrete structures and leads the preparation of reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules for our projects. His specialist skills include detailing structures for seismic zones.
