Llandudno Penderyn Project, North Wales​

HL were appointed as the Structural and Civil Engineers from concept stage through to the appointment of a design and build contractor for the design of the new Penderyn whisky distillery in Llandudno, North Wales.

 

The ambitious project involved building a distillery in a Grade II listed former boarding school, along with a striking extension to the rear of the building to house a new visitor centre and shop.

 

A number of complex alterations were undertaken to the main building, which involved meticulous coordination and site visits with the Architect and M&E engineers.

 

HL worked closely with the distillery contractor to accommodate the structural and drainage requirements of their complex equipment and processes.

 

The project is now completed and due to open to the public in June 2021.
