Bramley Moore Dock, Liverpool
HL were appointed to undertake a heritage asset survey of the existing dock, in support for a planning application for the new £500m Everton stadium.
Bramley Moore dock is a largely defunct dockland situated within the Stanley Dock Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The site is confined by the Grade II listed Regent Road granite wall to the East and the river Mersey to the West.
The ambitious project will see the existing dock filled in, with the stadium built ontop of the reclaimed land. The stadium has been positioned to minimise the impact on heritage assets present on site. Some heritage assets will be recovered and integrated within the proposed scheme
HL worked with main contractors Laing O'Rourke to establish and survey the assets on site and produced a report which was submitted in support of the planning application.
HL Surveyed and recorded over 500 heritage assets on the site.
