HL are the appointed structural engineers for this 14 storey new-build residential tower in Croydon, London which will provide 113 apartments for shared ownership and affordable rent.  Commercial units will be provided at ground floor level.

 

The building has been designed as a concrete frame with flat slabs, which is well-matched with the servicing strategy for the residential units reducing the overall building height and elevation cladding costs plus reducing construction programme. 

 

HL Structural Engineers developed the design using Autodesk Revit, which allowed quick co-ordination with the project architect and optimization of the structural design to a very tight programme. HL Engineers were also responsible for all RC detailing on the scheme.
