2 West Hill, Croydon

HL were appointed as the consultant structural engineers for this project in South Croydon. HL are responsible for production of construction information for this 5-storey residential building to house nine, three-bedroom properties for a repeat client.

 

The building has been designed as a concrete frame with RC flat slabs at each floor level with minimal downstand beams to simplify formwork and provide programme benefits. A green roof is provided at roof level to provide attenuation to the proposed drainage.

 

The site of the residential building is unique as the structure is built into a hillside and so retains earth on three sides of the basement car park.  HL modelled the building in 3D using Autodesk Revit and were responsible for the production of all RC detailing for the project.
